Founder Profile

Arnav Kumar is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. Leap is his second company and he has raised more than $30M in capital for his startups. In his last role, he was a VC investor with SAIF Partners (Now Elevation Capital), which is an early investor in paytm, meesho, urban company, unacademy and many other unicorns. Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney to manage a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued >$500Mn The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design)


About the Role: 

We are searching for a senior leader (VP/ Director level) for our Marketing/ Growth team

Our current acquisition efforts span the following:

  • Paid Marketing 

  • Social Media Marketing (Instagram, Youtube)

  • Content Marketing (SEO, Quora, Linkedin)

  • Event Marketing (online)

  • Influencer marketing (very limited)

In the next quarter, we will add: 

  • We want to start Brand marketing (ATL, BTL and more creative branding initiatives) 

  • Marketing in geographies outside India 

We are looking for a leader who can drive acquisition strategies across these channels. 

Someone who can balance strategy with execution

Someone who can mentor the existing (excellent) marketing team.

The best candidate will be someone who is an exceptional people manager while being hands on..

Ideal Persona: 

  • Someone who has led marketing for a fast scaling B2C startup

  • Has managed an annual marketing spend of at least $20 Mn

  • Someone who thrived in the messy 0 to 1 journey AND the dizzying 1 to n journey

  • Someone who has cracked paid (CPC) acquisition and Organic acquisition(SEO/ Social content)

  • Has built and led a strong marketing team in the past

  • It is an added plus if the candidate has entrepreneurial experience

Everyone at Leap is entrepreneurial, moves fast and operates with extreme ownership. 

There is minimal management and extreme autonomy.
