Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney to manage a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued >$500Mn The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design)

About the Role 

We are looking for a Product Designer II at Leap.

The charter for this role will include:

  • Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and business teams to deeply understand the problems you're solving for our customers, and explore multiple high-level approaches to solving them 

  • Design our experience and visual elements and evolve them further as our products mature and scale.

  • Design prototypes and perform usability testing/guerilla testing of your design work

  • Ensure the voice of the customer is present by incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design

  • Contribute towards shaping our design standards and patterns.



Ideal Persona would:

  • Have  2 - 4  years of experience as a product designer in a B2C setup

  • Contribute in building design culture, in addition to individual contribution.

  • Have working knowledge of the Figma and how component libraries/design systems are set up there.

  • Have knowledge of technical constraints and best practices in designing of digital platforms and responsive web design principles.

  • Have a true focus on the customer—you make your design decisions based on research, including interviews, usability testing and quantitative data

  • Be passionate to learn and grow every day and curious about the “why” of design, as well as the “what”

  • Have an interest in designing for customer growth and engagement. 

  • Have experience working on consumer facing products where you have been through the life-cycle of design and release iterations (Optional).

  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
