Sales Trainer Job Description
Objective: The Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that increase the effectiveness and skills of our sales team, from new hires to seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Development & Delivery:
- Design, develop, and deliver sales training programs to address business needs, incorporating best practices and tailoring content for the organization's processes and products.
- Conduct regular training sessions, which may be in-person, virtual, or via on-demand modules.
- Provide one-on-one coaching to sales professionals, identifying areas for improvement and tailoring individual development plans.
- Conduct On the Job training for the new joiners.
2. Onboarding:
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new sales hires to shorten their time to productivity.
- Ensure new hires understand the company’s sales processes, products, and tools.
3. Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, feedback, and sales performance metrics.
- Constantly assess the training needs of the organization and update materials accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest sales trends, tools, and techniques to ensure training material remains relevant.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales managers and leaders to align training initiatives with business goals.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure comprehensive product training for the sales force.
5. Resource & Material Management:
- Maintain a library of sales training materials, ensuring they're current, effective, and engaging.
- Oversee the management of any training tools or platforms used for delivering training.
6. Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report on training activities and outcomes.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas that may require additional training or support.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience, preferably in an edtech.
- Atleast 2 years of experience in training.
- Proven experience in sales training, instructional design, or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
- Familiarity with training software and platforms.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and ROI.
- Willing to Work From Office - HSR Layout, Sector 6, Bangalore
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience with digital and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed, especially during product launches or major training initiatives.
