Summary: 

 

We, at LeapScholar, are looking for candidates who are passionate about empowering students to reach their full academic potential. As an Admission Counselor, your role would be to help students stand out from the thousands of applicants who apply to top universities around the globe each year. We are looking for stellar Admission Counselors to help our students globally plan their end-to-end study abroad journeys and get admits from their dream universities.


The best candidates will check all OR many of these boxes: 

1) Minimum 3 years of experience as an Admission Consultant or Education Counselor

2) Based in the UAE and experience of working with MENA students

3) Experience of getting admits for your students from top universities in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Austalia, and other countries

4) Extensive knowledge of study abroad programs across courses, universities, and countries

5) Deep knowledge of college counseling and enthusiasm for mentoring students

6) An undergraduate degree from a recognized/accredited university

7) Experience in foreign universities’ application and admission process

8) Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements, processes, and scholarships, and financial aid resources

9) Excellent communication skills: fluency in English and exceptional writing skills Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage deadlines

10) Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as students make important decisions

11) Efficiently working on CRM tools, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint

12) Technologically savvy - you are confident handling Zoom, Whatsapp, etc

13) Confidence and flair to handle large audiences


Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Identifying skills, interests and career goals of the prospective students so as to counsel the students and their families in the best possible manner

2) Counseling the students for overseas education, follow-up with the students, solve their queries, and handle the registrations

3) Staying updated with university admission processes and requirements, university programs, majors, and courses, and developments in education and financial aid for different countries

4) Helping students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen careers, guide them for profile building and interview preparation

5) Managing the end-to-end admission process from course selection to getting an admit from Universities

6) To be a single point of interface and assist students with successful completion of all the key milestones of the Admissions process including shortlisting, editing, application submission, visa and post visa formalities

7) Review and propose information on various courses, internships, projects, foreign universities / universities, test prep products, application process, and deadlines proactively

8) Calling and counseling the students / parents and follow up for enrolment

9) Supporting sales team in enrolment closure

10) Work on registration deadlines, strive towards college-wide enrollment goals and use outstanding customer service to recruit students for the programs and get referrals

11) Helping the students fil the application forms of universities, verifying them and sending the same to the universities

12) Maintaining the data of all registered students and their visa application status

13) Attend university trainings and workshops

14) Participate in the events prior, during, and after each term, such as information sessions, orientations and registration events at high schools and colleges

15) Ability to work independently, and to arrange information sessions, set appointments and promote the academy in a positive manner

16) Arranging virtual campus tours and conducting information sessions

17) Develop and update a database of teachers, administrators, and contact people with whom workshops and information sessions can be booked

18) Work with prospective students to garner completed application files prior to enrollment and efforts to increase retention and to get and convert referrals

19) Utilize phone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students in a timely manner, providing superior student service
