Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney to manage a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued >$500Mn The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design)

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive the development of scalable and robust applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain large-scale production Micro-services
Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on the long-term technology roadmap
Produce quality and bug free code, raising the bar for team performance and speed
Recommend systems solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and Analyse bottlenecks
Design robust APIs to support mobile and web clients
Manage and Optimise scalable distributed systems in the cloud
Optimise web applications for performance and scalability
Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testing
Perform proofs of concept (PoCs) and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs, and solutions.

Ideal Persona of the Candidate:

4+ years of proven experience in developing and releasing highly scalable enterprise products.
Expertise in object-oriented design and design patterns, Data Structure
Experience mentoring and training others on complex technical issues
Experience with implementing algorithms to solve complex real-world problems
Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, peer code reviews, and a preference for agile methods
Experience developing Microservices with Spring boot in highly available and large scale distributed systems.
Development experience and deep understanding of modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin etc
Experience with AWS services like EC2, SQS, LAMBDA, etc.
Experience with both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB etc.)
